Logan Earl Crevier was born at 3:31 this morning weighing 6 pounds 2 ouches and is 20 inches long. He's a month early, and is having a little trouble breathing but he's okay!!!! :o) 3 hours earlier and he would have shared a birthday with his brother!!!

I haven't written in this thing in like...forever. And right now, I'm only doing it to avoid other things that are probably more important and meaningful.

I spent the entire day with Shaun today....it went pretty well for the most part. We haven't actually spent an entire day together in a LONG time. We went to the Elms Cape Cod Chapter Alumni Scholarship Luncheon at Skippy's Peir 1 in Yarmouth. I got my $1000 for the bookstore..again. yay. It went okay. Shaun talked to more people than I did, but whatever. Dr. Mullens, our new president came over and talked with us a few times. He's a really great guy and will make an excellent president for our college.

After we left, we ran a few errands then went fishing on the Sea Swan. The combination of Glenn, Paul and Andrew make for an interesting night. We caught a few fish..they put up a hell of a fight. Now I'm avoiding laying down for the night at all costs. I don't know why, as much as I'd like to sleep I've just put off the whole getting into bed thing for the past couple of nights :o/

Tomorrow we're taking Samantha (and Jess & Amanda) to see Cinderella at the Melody Tent. See...I told you I'd go at least once this summer...haha! Hopefully she'll like it. I'm really worried she won't be able to associate human characters with what she's used to seeing as a cartoon. We'll find out tomorrow...

Amy cornered me after our Charter last night telling me how she's the bigger person because she forgave Brian, and she "forgives" me (for what??), and how she's the bigger person for it, but Brian will never forgive me or get close to me again. Then she decided to tell me how they were living together and are "friends with benefits". This is right after she bitched about Cheeks telling her things she doesn't need to know. Honestly, I don't care but I don't want to hear about it either. So of course, I was kinda pissed at Brian afterwards too. He left with her, and I refused to even look at him this morning. But of course on our last trip I gave in and talked to him again. I hate how I let it go so easily. I just got my schedule for the summer today...I have every night cruise...which of course she is working on Fridays and Saturdays and Brian's captain for ALL of them. Should be a fun summer. I swear...Jerry's only trying to punish me...

Well, Shaun's been here for a week now :o) It was a rough start....but then again I was working sooo much last weekend. He came home from work last night with flowers for me :o) They're sooo pretty, then we went out to dinner. By the time we got home I felt soooo crappy....I've been getting sick all week and it just hit me so hard last night, so I went to bed while he watched tv. Now he's been at work all day and will be home in about half an hour, but of course I have to leave at that same time :o( I spent this morning watching Sam, then mom and I went shopping...yay fun.

I don't know what I did last night but it must have been good. I woke up and found my pink fuzzy socks in the bathroom (apparently spent a lot of time there), and had to beg my mom to drive me to school cause there was no way in hell I was makin it on my own. Somehow ended up on Kalmus too. Woke up and had Cheeks on my floor and Mags was gone. WHERE THE HELL WAS COURT??? I've been up almost 12 hours, and I'm STILL getting sick....now THAT's a sign of a good night.....or a really bad one... However, I did find this pic in my camera this morning:

I can't believe how many more observations I have to write up!! They're taking FOREVER! And I've been working ALL DAY! I'm supposed to get up early and drive out to Chicopee, but if I don't go to bed, that's never going to happen. Driving back to Cape on Friday would be soooo shitty though! So I don't know what to do now :o( Soooooo tired!

One day, when I was a freshman in high school,
I saw a kid from my class was walking home from school. His name was Kyle.
It looked like he was carrying all of his books.
I thought to myself, "Why would anyone bring home all his books on a Friday? He must really be a nerd."

I had quite a weekend planned (parties and a football game with my friends tomorrow afternoon), so I shrugged my shoulders and went on. As I was walking, I saw a bunch of kids running toward him. They ran at him, knocking all his books out of his arms and tripping him so he landed in the dirt.

His glasses went flying, and I saw them land in the grass about ten feet from him. He looked up and I saw this terrible sadness in his eyes. My heart went out to him. So, I jogged over to him and as he crawled around looking for his glasses, and I saw a tear in his eye. As I handed him his glasses, I said, "Those guys are jerks. They really should get lives."

He looked at me and said, "Hey thanks!" There was a big smile on his face. It was one of those smiles that showed real gratitude. I helped him pick up his books, and asked him where he lived.

As it turned out, he lived near me, so I asked him why I had never seen him before. He said he had gone to private school before now. I would have never hung out with a private school kid before. We talked all the way home, and I carried some of his books. He turned out to be a pretty cool kid.

I asked him if he wanted to play a little football with my friends. He said yes. We hung out all weekend and the more I got to know Kyle, the more I liked him, and my friends thought the same of him.

Monday morning came, and there was Kyle with the huge stack of books again. I stopped him and said, "Boy, you are gonna really build some serious muscles with this pile of books everyday!" He just laughed and handed me half the books.

Over the next four years, Kyle and I became best friends.
When we were seniors, we began to think about college.
Kyle decided on Georgetown, and I was going to Duke.
I knew that we would always be friends, that the miles would never be a problem.

He was going to be a doctor, and I was going for business on a football scholarship. Kyle was valedictorian of our class. I teased him all the time about being a nerd.

He had to prepare a speech for graduation. I was so glad it wasn't me having to get up there and speak

Graduation day, I saw Kyle. He looked great. He was one of those guys that really found himself during high school. He filled out and actually looked good in glasses. He had more dates than I had and all the girls loved him. Boy, sometimes I was jealous.

Today was one of those days. I could see that he was nervous about his speech. So, I smacked him on the back and said, "Hey, big guy, you'll be great!" He looked at me with one of those looks (the really grateful one) and smiled. "Thanks," he said.

As he started his speech, he cleared his throat, and began
"Graduation is a time to thank those who helped you make it through those tough years. Your parents, your teachers, your siblings, maybe a coach...but mostly your friends... I am here to tell all of you that being a friend to someone is the best gift you can give them. I am going to tell you a story."

I just looked at my friend with disbelief as he told the story of the first day we met. He had planned to kill himself over the weekend.
He talked of how he had cleaned out his locker so his Mom wouldn't have to do it later and was carrying his stuff home. He looked hard at me and gave me a little smile.
"Thankfully, I was saved. My friend saved me from doing the unspeakable"

I heard the gasp go through the crowd as this handsome, popular boy told us all about his weakest moment. I saw his Mom and dad looking at me and smiling that same grateful smile.

Not until that moment did I realize it's depth.
Never underestimate the power of your actions.
With one small gesture you can change a person's life.
For better or for worse.

God puts us all in each other's lives to impact one another in some way.
Look for Good in others.

You now have two choices, you can:

1) Pass this on to your friends or

2) Delete it and act like it didn't touch your heart.

As you can see, I took choice number 1.

I thought today was gonna be real slow and shitty at work....we were sooooo busy! (Thank you Cape Cod Maritime Days!). Chris came down and said hi...which was totally random. Then I talked to him for like an hour via text messages tonight...which was even more random. Then Andrew's dad came over and asked if I was Bubba (the correct answer is yes). He told me Andrew said hi. Courtney came for a ride and totally saved my ass by doing a line. We lived in fear all day of the rope steering snapping since it was totally frayed. Jerry came on and made us show him emergency steering since "we would probably be using it later on that afternoon". I got more hours this week...yay...but it's supposed to rain that day :o( Shaun's leaving for Boston tomorrow and won't be back til Friday. Funny, he'll be closer to me this week than he has ever been before. Friday he's here for good.

I had my first good cry in a while tonight. The worst part is, I don't know which one I was crying over more...

This whole not working thing sucks. I can't wait til next week when I work more, then in June when I get back to my nomal insane hours. I'm screwed for observations, I was doing really well, then freaking MCAS screwed me up. So all week I basically just went to the preschool. I love those kids, they're so cute! I played disc with Brit a few times, and we FINALLY got my internet to work in my room. My room is no where near ready for Shaun to move in, although if you've ever been in it before, there's been a HUGE improvement!! Brit and I went out to lunch with mom, and we played Keno. It was weird. The last time the three of us went out Brit and I weren't old enough to even think about playing keno. It's supposed to rain again this weekend, which sucks. It's getting to be the end of May and it's still like a high of 55 every day. Not that working a crappy day isn't fun sometimes, but it's getting a little old. My belly button is crazy infected and I don't even think I can get the ring out to change it. It hurts like hell. I need a new icon to match this page too. Last time I looked for one, I got a virus and had to restore my computer...AGAIN. Maybe I'll just make one myself.

I can't believe it didn't rain!! Shaun came up Friday night, then I got up and went to work Saturday...he FINALLY got a job! We cancelled our last 2 trips which sucked because I had to go back anyways. So I went home and took a shower, then went back. The charter was so crappy. The captain wa a wicked dick, and of course Amy was there. She probably thinks I'm a total bitch now because she called my name when I walked by, which totally threw me off, and offered me a sandwich, which I declined as it was probably poisoned. Sunday I went to work and suprisingly stayed all day and didn't cancel any trips. Nothing too exciting happened, so I went home and cleaned all night. Brit called and said she was at Maggie's and I could go if I wanted to. I thought about it, but was so tired to I stayed in. I had to get up at the ass crack of dawn to take a shower this morning, til my observations this afternoon. I just realized last night that I have to drive out to school on the 27th, then back home after. Umm, that's the Friday of Memorial Day Weekend. How shitty is that gonna be?! Maybe I'll go to Shaun's and bring some of his things down since he's coming down that night anyways. Hmm. Yeah, that's crappy

YAY! I'm finished with my junior year of college!!!...kinda. I still have an assload of observation hours to do, but that's it!!! :o) I came home Wednesday after my presentation....but my car STILL isns't totally unpacked! Yesterday I went and did some observations then went down to Hy-Line to get my check. Shaun called and said he's bringing some stuff down today, so I cleaned ALL night and there is STILL no where to put it all!! Today I went and did more observations, but my second set got cancelled. So I've got some more time to clean, then my baby's here tonight! :o) Too bad I can't spend too much time with him this weekend though. Unless we cancel, but I doubt that will be happening. I've got my first 13 hour shift of the year tomorrow...yay! I get to work my normal shift on the Prudence, then head down to the other end and work a charter on the Brant Point. I'm sooo scared though, I don't know my way around it, and even though I don't know anyone down there, it doesn't necessarily mean they don't know me. Then work again Sunday, and observations ALL WEEK! I can't wait til their over...
